The new Wisenet WAVE WRN series recorder models WRN-1632(S) and WRN-816S are experiencing issues with the camera auto discovery not working correctly due Ubuntu’s firewall blocking discovery messages. This article provides the steps to open the required port on the Ubuntu firewall and resolve this issue.
Resolution
To enable camera auto discovery:
- Open Terminal on your Ubuntu system.
- Run the following command to open the required port:
sudo ufw allow 3702/udp
- Restart the firewall, if necessary.
Once the port is open, camera auto discovery should function properly.
