WAVE: How do I backup my database?

Regular database backup is an important maintenance aspect, but it is especially crucial before introducing any major changes in WAVE, such as a version upgrade. This article details the steps to back up WAVE.

Backing up the Database

To back up the database:

Open the Wisenet WAVE Desktop client.
Navigate to System Administration.
Select Advanced > Create Backup.

NOTE: If your Wave server has a WaveSync account connected, you are 
prompted to enter your WaveSync password.

A confirmation screen confirms the backup has been created successfully, and details where the backup is saved.

NOTE: It is recommended to save a copy of your backup elsewhere 
(second HDD, USB stick, etc.) in case your boot disk fails (c:/).
