Issue Summary
If the CPU gets to 99% usage or idle memory becomes less than 20MB, the NVR will display a CPU Overload message. The NVR UI is sluggish, and live video is limited to I-frame streaming. This issue is mostly likely occur in ARN NVRs, which are from the entry level line-up.
Once the CPU is less than 99% and idle memory is larger than 20MB, this warning message automatically disappears. This article describes how to resolve the CPU overload.
Resolution
To resolve the CPU overload, adjust the following:
- If using a UHD monitor with ARN, lower its resolution to FHD.
- If multiple users are connected to ARN simultaneously, lower it to 2-3.
NOTE: The specification says 10 users, but this number is just about S/W limitation,
not considered with performance. - Lower the resolution of the live monitoring channel.
- Reduce camera bandwidth with profile adjustment.
