Summary
When you log your server into WAVE Sync and attach it to a WAVE Sync service, the login becomes the Owner account. Only the WAVE Sync and local Owner accounts can create admin accounts. If you disconnect the server from WAVE Sync, all associated WAVE Sync user accounts will be lost. This process will continue until you disable the DDNS / P2P function, connect the unit to the Internet, or apply an updated firmware. Therefore, we recommend transferring WAVE Sync ownership instead of disconnecting from WAVE Sync. This article provides instructions for changing WAVE Sync ownership.
Changing the Owner Account
To change the Owner account:
- Log in to WAVE Sync with the Owner account.
- Select the system for which you want to transfer ownership.
- Navigate to Settings > System Administration > General.
- Next to Owner - You, click (change).
- Enter the e-mail address of the New system owner.
NOTE: You can select the new owner from the drop-down list
The old Owner account will be removed from the system. You will need to re-add this account as a non-owner WAVE Sync user.
