Issue Summary
When the password is changed on an Ubuntu-based server device, the customer receives the following error message:
"Authentication required, the password you used to log in to your computer no longer matches that of your login keyring."
Resolution
To update the keyring:
- Open the file cabinet (
) icon.
- Select Home.
- Press Ctrl + H.
This allows you to view hidden files. - Select .local > Share > Keyrings.
- Right click the file named login.keyring and select Move to Trash.
The system generates a new file.
