Summary
Once a Cloud Gateway Appliance (CGA) camera is in OnCloud, many important parameters can conveniently be set within OnCloud, instead of relying on the camera’s Web Viewer or Wisenet Device Manager. This article details how to use OnCloud to change basic camera settings.
Changing Camera Settings
To change camera settings:
- Log in to OnCloud.
- Navigate to the organization dashboard and click Devices > Manage.
- Search for the CGA.
- Click the CGA row to expand it.
This reveals the previously added sub cameras. - Click on the camera row.
The camera interface is similar to the one for the CGA, except it includes licensing. Once licensed, more options will appear for that camera.
- Click on the Device Information tab to view and change the camera’s name, monitor its online status, review the model, serial number and MAC address, check the firmware and CloudConnector versions, and modify the device’s Area. You can also remove the device from the org.
- Click on the Licenses tab to attach or remove a license.
- Configure the camera after attaching a valid license.
- Scroll down to see the option where using the camera as a proxy, you can also connect directly to the device as if you were on the local network.
