Prerequisites
Before starting the steps in this article:
- Open Wisenet Device Manager.
- Double-click the desired camera.
- Enter your username and password.
- Make sure the listed firmware version for the camera is 2.22.04 or higher.
- Download Cloud Connector Camera Application for Genetec SaaS.
Adding a Hanwha Camera to Genetec Security Center SaaS
To add a Hanwha camera to Genetec Security Center:
- Enter the camera’s IP address in a web browser (preferably Chrome) and press Enter.
- Enter the known credentials of the camera and click sign-in.
- Click the Gear (
) icon at the top of the camera screen.
- From the navigation bar on the left, click System > Upgrade / Restart.
- Next to Software, make sure the camera firmware version is 2.22.04 or higher.
- If needed, download the latest firmware version at https://hanwhavisionsupport.com/.
- In the navigation bar, click Basic > Date & Time.
- In the Time zone section, select the local time zone from the drop-down menu.
- In the System time setup section, select the Synchronize with NTP server radio button (recommended).
- In the navigation bar, click Open platform > Open platform.
- Install the Cloud Connector Camera Application, then click Go App.
The Serial number and User Secret code to enroll the camera to Genetec Security Center SaaS displays.
- Write down the Serial number and User Secret code. This will be needed in Step 17.
- Log in to Genetec Security Center SaaS.
- Click Add Device.
- Under Select a type of hardware, click Camera.
- Under Choose an enrollment method, click Direct-to-Cloud.
- Select Hanwha as the camera manufacturer, then enter the Serial number and User Secret code from Step 12 and click Continue.
- Under Configure hardware, enter the camera Name and select a Recording profile from the dropdown menu, then click Continue.
It will take a couple of minutes to connect the camera.
When the camera is connected, you should be able to check live stream as above.
