HALO: How to Add a HALO Smart Sensor to WAVE

Summary

 This article provides instructions on how to add a HALO Smart Sensor to WAVE.

Prerequisite

In order to add a HALO Smart Sensor to WAVE, the device must first be set to Basic HTTP Authentication.

1. Enter the IP address of the HALO Smart Sensor into a web browser.
   
   
2. Click Configure.
   
   
   
   
3. Click the Device tab.
   
   
4. In the HTTP / API section, select Basic Only from the Authentication drop-down menu.
   
   
   
   
5. Click Save.
   
   
6. Reboot the HALO Smart Sensor.

Adding a HALO Smart Sensor to WAVE

To add a HALO Smart Sensor to WAVE:

1. Enter the IP address of the HALO Smart Sensor into a web browser.
   
   
2. Click the Device tab.
   
   
3. In the Device name field, enter a unique name.
   
   
   
   
4. Click Save.
   
   
5. Click the Actions tab.
   
   
6. In the Messaging Set column, check the box next to each Event Identifier.
   
   
7. Click Save.
   
   
8. Log in to WAVE Client.
   
   
9. Right-click the Hamburger icon, then select Add > Device.
   
   
10. In the Address field, enter the stream URL from the HALO Smart Sensor interface.
    

    NOTE: To access the stream URL, enter the IP address of the HALO 
    Smart Sensor into a web browser. Click Configure. In the Path 
    field, right-click the stream URL and select copy.
    
    

11. In the Login field, enter the HALO device user name.
    
    
12. In the Password field, enter the HALO device password.
    
    
13. Click Search.
    
    The HALO Smart Sensor appears in the discovered device list. 
    
    
14. Check the box next to  the listed device then click Add all Devices.
