Summary
This article explains how to remotely access the PoE management page on second generation WRNs using the PoE switch.
Accessing the PoE Management Page Remotely
To access the PoE management page remotely:
- Log into WAVE.
- Navigate to Webpages, then right click to add a web page.
- Enter a URL for the web page. This creates a proxied web page to access Cockpit.
- Open the web page created.
- Log into Cockpit.
NOTE: Cockpit uses WAVE as the user name, by default, and the Ubuntu password.
- Enter the password again to gain Administrative access.
- Navigate to the Networking tab.
- Select eth0 properties > Edit on IPv4 line.
- Select the + on Addresses.
- Enter 223.223.223.200 on Address and 24 on Prefix length or netmask.
- Click Apply.
Once the IP address is added, it appears as below under Eth0. Eth0 has access to 223.223.223.0 subnet. - Create another proxied webpage in WAVE, but, this time, use the following IP. http://223.223.223.1.
- Login to the page. The default credential is admin / admin.
- Disable certain points as needed by selecting PoE Configuration > PoE Settings.
NOTE: The user can powercycle the camera per port.
