Intelligent video analytics (IVA) uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to automate the analysis of video footage, transforming it into actionable insights rather than just raw data. By applying AI to live or recorded video streams, IVA systems can automatically detect people, objects, and activities. This enables real-time alerts for security events, enhances situational awareness, improves operational efficiency, and supports data-driven decision-making across various sectors like security, retail, and smart cities. This article describes how to set up an IVA on Hanwha Vision Cameras equipped with WiseAI. In this article, the PNM-C34404RQPZ fixed sensors are used as an example. The same process applies for any Hanwha Vision Camera equipped with WiseAI.

Setting up an IVA

To set up an IVA:

1. Log into the camera via web browser (Chrome recommended).
   
   
2. Select the desired analytic from the left side menu panel (Line crossing or IVA area).
   
   
   
   
3. Select the sensor and toggle the enable switch to ON.
   
   
4. Click on the preview image to draw the detection zone.
   
   
   
   
5. Select the trigger condition and set the timer (if applicable).
   

   NOTE: Changes made in WiseAI are automatically saved in real time.
