Summary
An event rule in Intelligent Virtual Agent (IVA) is a pre-configured set of actions that automatically trigger in onboard the camera when a specific condition or analytic event occurs, such as a person entering a forbidden area or an object being removed from a camera's field of view. Handover will automatically execute movement to a previously configured PTZ preset position in response to the activation of the event rule condition. This article describes how to set up an event rule for IVA using a camera's onboard event rule engine. In this article, the PNM-C34404RQPZ is used as an example. The process will be similar on most Hanwha Vision cameras. Some models might have slightly differing menu options or lack support for some rule options such as multiple event conditions (Boolean AND.)
