OnCloud: How do I attach a Cloud license?

Summary

This article provides information on how to attach a Cloud license to an OnCloud camera. 

NOTE: OnCloud must be used to add a new license. You cannot add or attach 
a new license through the Cloud Portal license management interface.

Attaching a Cloud License

NOTE: Before starting the steps in this article, follow the instructions 
in OnCloud: How do I add a new license? to add the license to the organization.

To attach a license:

1. Log in to Cloud Portal.
   
   
2. Navigate to OnCloud.
   
   
3. Click the Building icon at the top right to start your dashboard.
   
   
   

   NOTE: If you do not see this icon, you do not have permission to view the dashboard.

4. Navigate to the device list and locate the device to license.
   
   

5. In the  Devices  section, click  Manage.
   
   
   
   

6. Click anywhere in the white space to go to the device settings.
   
   
   
   
7. Select Licenses  >  Attach New License.
   
   
   
   

8. Scroll to find the type of license to attach. The list can include two types of licenses:

   - Cloud Licenses, which include information about retention length.

   - Edge Recording Licenses

   Depending on the organization, you may see only one type, or a mix of both.
   
   

9. Click the drop-down for the type of license to attach.
   
   
10. Select the specific license, and click Confirm.
    
    
    
    The License page now shows the attached license.
