How to configure IPConfigure to Receive Analytic Events

Summary

This article describes the steps to set up a camera and configure IPConfigure to obtain event triggers from a camera.

Configuring the Camera

To configure the camera:

1. Add the Camera to Wisenet Device Manager.
   
   
2. Update the camera firmware (see How to update firmware using Wisenet Device Manager).
   
   
3. Update the WiseAI app (see How do I update the firmware on the PNO-A9081R, PNV-A9081R, PND-A9081RV, PND-A9081RF to add the new WiseAI Application).
   
   
4. Double-click the Camera in Wisenet Device Manager.
   
   
5. Navigate to the Settings page by clicking on the Gear icon.
   
   
6. Select Analytics, and click on the Analytic needed.
   
   
7. Enable the analytic, and click OK to apply the changes.
   
   

Line Crossing Event

To trigger a line crossing event:

1. For a line crossing event, click on the Virtual Crossing tab.
   
   
2. Click on the screen and drag the line across the intended area.
   
   
3. Enter a Name for the line.
   
   
4. Select the Object (Person or Vehicle).
   
   
5. Check the box next to Crossing.
   
   
6. Select the direction for the trigger, and click Apply.
   
   

Loitering Event

To trigger a loitering event:

1. For a loitering event, click on the Virtual area tab.
   
   
2. Click on the screen and draw a box around the area of detection.
   
   
3. Enter a Name for the area.
   
   
4. Select Object (Person or Vehicle).
   
   
5. Check the box next to Loitering.
   
   
6. Set the dwell time between 1 and 900 seconds, and click Apply.
   
   

Receiving Analytic Events

To receive analytic events: 

1. Open Chrome, enter the Orchid Server IP address, and click Enter.
   
   
2. Enter your User Credentials and click Sign In.
   
   
   
   
3. Select the three-line menu in the upper right corner and click Camera Configuration.
   
   
   
   
4. Click Add Camera.
   
   
   
   
   
5. Click the Manual tab, enter the Camera IP, Camera Name, Username, and Password. 
   
   
   
   
6. Click Register Camera > Event Subscriptions.
   
   
   
7. Click +New Subscription.
   
   
   
   
8. Click ONVIF.
   
   
9. Enter a Subscription name and Category.
   
   
10. Select the Source Camera, then click on ONVIF Topic.
    
    
11. Select VideoAnalytics/VideoAnalytic from the drop-down menu, and click Next.
    
    
12. Click Next > Save Subscription. 
    
    
13. Test the Event Trigger by crossing the line or simulating a loitering event to trigger the configured event on the camera.
    
    
14. Click Events from the left side menu.
    
    
15. Click the Refresh icon, click on the Event Trigger, and verify the configured event was captured.
