Summary
This article describes the steps to set up a camera and configure IPConfigure to obtain event triggers from a camera.
Configuring the Camera
To configure the camera:
- Add the Camera to Wisenet Device Manager.
- Update the camera firmware (see How to update firmware using Wisenet Device Manager).
- Update the WiseAI app (see How do I update the firmware on the PNO-A9081R, PNV-A9081R, PND-A9081RV, PND-A9081RF to add the new WiseAI Application).
- Double-click the Camera in Wisenet Device Manager.
- Navigate to the Settings page by clicking on the Gear icon.
- Select Analytics, and click on the Analytic needed.
- Enable the analytic, and click OK to apply the changes.
Line Crossing Event
To trigger a line crossing event:
- For a line crossing event, click on the Virtual Crossing tab.
- Click on the screen and drag the line across the intended area.
- Enter a Name for the line.
- Select the Object (Person or Vehicle).
- Check the box next to Crossing.
- Select the direction for the trigger, and click Apply.
Loitering Event
To trigger a loitering event:
- For a loitering event, click on the Virtual area tab.
- Click on the screen and draw a box around the area of detection.
- Enter a Name for the area.
- Select Object (Person or Vehicle).
- Check the box next to Loitering.
- Set the dwell time between 1 and 900 seconds, and click Apply.
Receiving Analytic Events
To receive analytic events:
- Open Chrome, enter the Orchid Server IP address, and click Enter.
- Enter your User Credentials and click Sign In.
- Select the three-line menu in the upper right corner and click Camera Configuration.
- Click Add Camera.
- Click the Manual tab, enter the Camera IP, Camera Name, Username, and Password.
- Click Register Camera > Event Subscriptions.
- Click +New Subscription.
- Click ONVIF.
- Enter a Subscription name and Category.
- Select the Source Camera, then click on ONVIF Topic.
- Select VideoAnalytics/VideoAnalytic from the drop-down menu, and click Next.
- Click Next > Save Subscription.
- Test the Event Trigger by crossing the line or simulating a loitering event to trigger the configured event on the camera.
- Click Events from the left side menu.
- Click the Refresh icon, click on the Event Trigger, and verify the configured event was captured.
