Avigilon: How to Setup Wise AI Analytics Using ONVIF Event Subscription

Summary

Cameras that use Wise AI, such as P series or T series models, provide options for using analytics with rules for real event notification like line-crossing, Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA), or temperature detection. If using IVA, the system cannot trigger an alarm for specific events (for example, enter/exit vs. loitering). Instead, it reports a more general trigger, similar to how Hanwha NVRs work. This article provides instructions for setting up Wise AI analytics using ONVIF event subscription.

Setting up Wise AI Analytics

To set up Wise AI analytics:

1. Log in to Avigilon.
    
2. In the navigation bar on the left, right-click the camera then click the Setup tab.
    
3. In the General section, click the ONVIF Event Subscription tile.
    
4. Click Add.
   
   
    
5. Use the drop-down menu to select the analytic you want to trigger an alarm for, such as IVA or Line-Crossing.
    
6. If needed, rename the subscription in the Name field. 
   
   

   NOTE: There is no need to filter by source or edit the other fields, 
   as they do not currently affect analytics.

    
7. If you are using a multi-sensor camera, select the correct sensor from the Head drop-down menu.
    
8. Click OK.
