Issue Summary
This article provides instructions for how to resolve the 'Login block' issue on Hanwha cameras
For cybersecurity protection, Hanwha cameras block the login after 5 log-in attempts using the wrong credentials. Users can try to log in again after 30 seconds.
This can occur because:
- VMS or NVR is trying to log in to the camera with wrong credential.
- User enters the wrong password 5 times.
Once the camera is blocked, it shows a 490 Account Blocked error.
Resolution
To resolve the login block:
- If you see the login pop-up and fail to log in within 5 attempts, your password might be wrong. Factory reset with Reset from the camera.
-
Press and hold Reset for 10 seconds to factory reset the camera.
NOTE: Hardware factory reset initializes all the configuration of the
camera including IP address, credential, and analytics settings, but the SD
card recording is not removed.
If the error message appears once you open the camera web viewer, another
system or user is trying to login with the wrong credential. - Refresh the browser several times to get the login pop-up window.
- Enter the credentials and log in to the camera.
- Select Menu > System > Log > Access Log.
- Check the log that the system (IP address) was trying to log in with wrong credentials.
- You can track the IP address and check which system is causing the issue, if it is VMS or NVR, configure with correct the password to stop causing the issue
