Summary
This article outlines the process for setting up and testing Local Storage Backup in the Hanwha Vision Cloud platform.
Setting up Local Storage Backup
To set up local storage backup:

Log in to Cloud Portal.

Navigate to OnCloud.

Click the Building icon at the top right.
NOTE: If you do not see this icon, you do not have permission to view the
dashboard. - On the Devices tile, click Manage.
- Locate the camera you want to enable Local Storage Backup on.
- Click the Gear icon to open the Device Management page.
- Scroll to the bottom right to locate the Local Storage Backup settings.
- Toggle the Enable Storage Backup switch to ON.

Click Confirm when prompted.
NOTE: You must have a local storage device such as an SD card installed on
the camera for this feature to work.
- Confirm the Local Storage Backup feature is enabled and the status has updated to Recording.
Testing Local Storage Backup
To test local storage backup:
- Click View Restoration History.
If this is the first time the feature has been enabled and there have been no network disruptions, the screen should read No Data Found.
- Simulate a network outage. For example, unplug the camera from the network to simulate a network outage or connection failure.
- Trigger one or more events such as walking past the camera to trigger motion detection.
- Reconnect the camera to the network and wait for the camera to come online.
- Click View Restoration History.
The screen should show the beginning and end time of the network disruption and a Status of Not Started and Restore Start Date & Time and Restore End Date & Time should display Pending.
- Wait for the data to be synchronized to the OnCloud platform.
This could take several minutes depending on the speed of the network and the number and length of events recorded during the outage.
- Click View Restoration History.
The Status should now say Complete and the Restore start and end times should be displayed.
