WAVE: How to play Audio on IP Speakers/Audio Beacons on Analytics event

This article explains how set up a rule in WAVE to play audio on an Analytics event using IP speakers or audio beacons.

Setting up the WAVE Rule

To set up the WAVE rule:

1. Log in to WAVE.
   
   
2. Click Ctrl + E to open Event Rules.
   
   
3. Click + Add.
   
   
   
   
4. Under Event, select Analytics Event from the When drop-down menu.
   
   
5. Select the camera that will trigger events from the At drop-down menu.
   
   
6. Select the analytics such as Loitering from the Event Type drop-down menu.
   
   
7. Under Action, select Play sound from the Do drop-down menu.
   
   
8. Select the IP Speaker(s)/Beacons from the At drop-down menu.
   
   
   
   
9. Click OK.
   
   
10. Select checkbox by the Interval of Action and modify the default as needed.
    
    
11. Select the checkbox by Play to Users and assign the user groups.
    
    
    
    
12. Select the audio file to play on event from the drop-down menu.
    
    
13. Click Manage to add audio files, if needed.
    
    
14. Adjust the volume as needed.
    
    
15. Click Test to check the audio.
    
    
16. Click Apply.
    
    After the rule is setup in WAVE, the audio plays in the IP Speaker/Audio Beacon when the analytic event in the camera is triggered.
