Summary
This article describes how to play audio when an alarm input is triggered in a Hanwha IP speaker.
Prerequisites
Set up Text-to-Speech files as shown in How to add Text-to-Speech (.tts) files to Hanwha IP Speaker and add audio as shown in How to add audio (.mp3, .wav) files to a Hanwha IP Speaker.
Configuring IP Speaker to Play Audio when Alarm Input is Triggered
To configure the speaker:
- Log in to the IP speaker.
- Navigate to Environment Settings > Device Operation Setting.
- Set Operation Mode to Controller.
- Click Apply.
- Select System Setting > Device Registration.
- Move the speaker under Device Search to the right hand side.
The speaker appears under Registered Device.
- Click Apply.
- Select System Setting > Zone Registration.
- Select the zone. If none appear, create a new Zone.
- Enter Zone Name, select an IP Address from the drop-down menu,
- Select Channel: audio_output_1.
- Click Apply.
Setting up an Event to Trigger Audio
To set up an event:
- Select System Setting > Event & Preset.
- Under Event, select the IP Address from the drop-down menu.
- For CP, choose drycontact_in_1.
- Under Local File Play, enable Use checkbox.
- Select IP address; for Local File select the audio file from drop-down.
- Enter the number for Play count as needed.
- No setup is needed under Broadcasting Routing, DSP, Source Stream, or CP Out sections.
- Click Apply.
The configured IP Speaker will now play the setup audio whenever the Alarm IO is triggered in the IP Speaker.
